Overview

Radio communication is physical in Return Echo. A message has to cross distance before anyone can act on it. It may be blocked by a planet, weakened by interference, repeated through a relay, or arrive after the situation has changed.

Why it matters

This makes information part of navigation and strategy. Listening, waiting, relaying and choosing when to broadcast can matter as much as flying or fighting.
